Steps to knowing Jesus:

REPENT: A commitment to turn from sin/change the direction of your life.

“In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now He commands all people  everywhere to repent.”   Acts 17:30

 

BELIEVE: Agreeing that Jesus Christ died for your sins.

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son shall  not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.”  John 3:36

 

CONFESS: True sorrow for your sins, admitting that you need Jesus Christ to enter your life.

“If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart  that God  raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”  Romans 10:9

 

RECEIVE: Actually inviting and allowing Jesus Christ to come into your heart and life.

“Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”
